Alicante: Visit with Audio Guide Bullring and Bullfighting Museum
A worthwhile experience
Didn't have any real plans on getting to Alicante, but was intrigued by the opportunity to explore the local Bullring, drawn in by a flyer handed out as we entered the town. The tour was reasonably priced and took about 1.5 hours. I found the history and tradition interesting and worthwhile, not finding the gore and blood letting overly celebrated. We took hand held audio devices and strolled throughout the building, seeing all aspects of it and ending in the arena itself. The ring itself is impressive with a beautiful backdrop of the surrounding hills, the view worth the walk to the arena. It includes a virtual experience which was great, though a little hot and a video which was the only part showing bulls being killed, easy to avoid if you want though. A worthwhile experience.
