Getting There

• Bus

  From the city center of Almeria, head to the Almería bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Almería) located at Av. de la Estación, 41. You can reach the bus station by walking or taking a local bus to Av. de la Estación. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus to San José. The bus ride takes about 40-50 minutes. After arriving in San José, walk towards C. la Calilla, which is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs towards the beach and enjoy the scenic route.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Almeria to Playa de La Calilla. Simply hail a taxi or call a local taxi service. Provide the address: 'C. la Calilla, 528-540, San José, Almería.' The drive will take around 30 minutes depending on traffic.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Almeria and ride towards San José. Follow the coastal paths and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The distance from Almeria to San José is about 30 kilometers, so plan for a ride of approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in San José, head to C. la Calilla to reach the beach.

• Walking

  While it may be challenging to walk directly from Almeria to Playa de La Calilla due to the distance, you can take a bus to San José and then walk the final stretch. Once you arrive at the San José bus station, head towards C. la Calilla. Follow signs towards the beach, which will guide you through the charming streets of San José and lead you directly to the coastline.
