If you are starting from Plaza Alta, walk southwest along Calle José María Alcaraz y Alenda. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Europa. Turn left onto Avenida de Europa and keep walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de la Libertad. Follow this road for about 700 meters until you reach Puerta de Palmas Bridgehead.

From the Badajoz Railway Station, exit the station and turn right onto Calle de la Estación. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Europa. Turn left onto Avenida de Europa and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de la Libertad. Continue walking for approximately 400 meters to reach the Puerta de Palmas Bridgehead.

Starting from the Alcazaba of Badajoz, exit the fortress and walk down Calle de la Alcazaba. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Torre de Espantaperros. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de la Libertad. Turn left onto Avenida de la Libertad and walk for about 600 meters to arrive at the Puerta de Palmas Bridgehead.

If you are near the Parque de Castelar, head east on Avenida de la Libertad. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit to stay on Avenida de la Libertad. Continue for another 400 meters, and you will find the Puerta de Palmas Bridgehead on your right.
