Walking
If you are in central Badajoz, start at the Plaza Alta, which is a central square and easy to find. Head southeast towards Avenida de Elvas. Continue straight on this road as it turns into Calle de la Constitución. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the border. After crossing the border into Portugal, you will continue on the same road, which becomes EN-246. Keep walking straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the town of Elvas. Once in Elvas, continue straight until you reach R. da Feira. The Igreja da Misericórdia is located at number 17 on this street, which should be on your left.

From the Badajoz train station, take a train to Elvas. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Elvas train station, exit the station and head southeast on R. da Estação. Continue walking straight, merging onto Largo da Estação, then turn left onto R. da Feira. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find the Igreja da Misericórdia at number 17 on your right.
