From the central Plaza Alta in Badajoz, head southwest towards Calle de Menacho. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Elvas. Turn left onto Avenida de Elvas and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will cross over the river via the Puente de Ajuda. After crossing, continue straight, and you will find yourself in the city of Elvas. Praça da República is located in the center of Elvas, just a short walk from where you enter the city.

From Badajoz city center, locate the bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Badajoz). Take a bus heading to Elvas, which is usually marked as 'Elvas' or 'Portugal'. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
