    From the center of Badajoz, head to the Plaza Alta. Once you reach the Plaza Alta, find the street called Calle de la Soledad. Walk down Calle de la Soledad until you reach the intersection with Avenida de Elvas. Turn left onto Avenida de Elvas and continue walking straight. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will cross the border into Portugal. Once in Portugal, continue along the same street which becomes Rua da Praça. You will then reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Rua dos Açougues. The Sinagoga Velha will be at number 6 on your right.
