Getting There

Train
Start your journey from the center of Barcelona by heading to the Plaça de Catalunya station. From there, take the FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) line R5 towards Manresa. Make sure to validate your ticket before boarding. The train ride will take approximately 1 hour. You'll need to get off at the 'Montserrat-Aeri' station. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the Aeri de Montserrat cable car station, which is about a 10-minute walk. The cable car ride will take you up to the Montserrat monastery area where the Museum of Montserrat is located.

Bus
You can also take a bus from Barcelona to Montserrat. Start by heading to the Sants Estació or Plaça de Catalunya. Look for the Monbus service that goes directly to Montserrat. The bus ride takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Montserrat Monastery, follow the signs to the museum which is within the monastery complex.

Combination of Train and Funicular
From Plaça de Catalunya, take the FGC line R5 train towards Manresa and get off at the 'Montserrat-Aeri' station. After alighting, walk to the Aeri de Montserrat cable car station (10 minutes). Take the cable car up to Montserrat. Alternatively, you can opt for the Funicular de Sant Joan from the top of the cable car to reach higher viewpoints and then walk to the Museum of Montserrat, which is nearby.
