Getting There

Walking
If you are in the heart of Abando, start by heading towards the Gran Vía. Walk along Gran Vía until you reach the intersection with Calle de la Alameda de Urquijo. Turn right onto Alameda de Urquijo and continue walking straight until you see the Plaza de la Constitución on your left. From the plaza, continue straight on Calle de la Ribera, which will take you towards the river. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank. The cathedral will be on your right side after a short walk. The total distance is approximately 1 km, which should take about 15-20 minutes on foot.

From any point in Abando, you can take the Tram from the 'Abando' stop. Board the tram heading towards 'Elorrio'. Get off at the 'Casco Viejo' stop. Once you exit the tram, head towards the river and walk down Calle de la Ribera. Follow the river until you reach the cathedral on your right. The tram ticket costs around €1.50.

You can also take Bus Line 34 from any nearby bus stop in Abando towards 'Bilbao Intermodal'. After a few stops, get off at 'Calle de la Ribera'.
