Getting There

• Metro

  To get to Plaza Nueva from the city center, take Line 1 of the Bilbao Metro (the 'Casco Viejo' station is a good starting point). Board the train heading towards 'Etxebarri'. Ride for two stops and get off at 'Abando' station. Once you exit the metro, follow the signs for 'Casco Viejo', and head down 'Bergara' street. When you reach the end of the street, turn right onto 'Gran Vía'. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Calle de la Ronda'. Turn left onto 'Calle de la Ronda', and you will find Plaza Nueva ahead on your right.

• Bus

  You can take the Bilbobus (local bus service) to reach Plaza Nueva. From the city center, look for the bus stop for Line A or Line 38. Board the bus and ride for about 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Plaza Nueva' stop. Once you exit the bus, you will be directly at Plaza Nueva, which is a vibrant square filled with bars and restaurants.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Casco Viejo area, Plaza Nueva is easily accessible by foot. Start at 'Calle de la Ronda' and walk towards the main square. It's about a 10-minute walk from the 'Mercado de la Ribera'. Head north from the market, and when you reach 'Calle de la Ronda', turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach Plaza Nueva, which will be on your left. Look for the beautiful architecture and lively atmosphere of the square.
