Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the AP-7 motorway. From major cities in Costa Brava like Lloret de Mar or Tossa de Mar, take the N-II road towards Girona. Once you reach Girona, follow the signs for the AP-7 towards France. Take exit 6 for the N-260 towards Olot/Besalú. Continue on the N-260 until you see signs for Besalú. Once in Besalú, follow the signs to the city center. Plaça del Prat de Sant Pere is centrally located, and you can park nearby.
Bus
For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from Girona to Besalú. You can catch a bus at the Girona Bus Station, which is accessible from various locations in Costa Brava. Look for the bus line that goes to Besalú; the journey takes roughly 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Besalú bus station, it's a short 10-minute walk to Plaça del Prat de Sant Pere. Just head towards the town center, and you'll find the plaza easily.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Girona to Besalú. Taxis are readily available and can take you directly to Plaça del Prat de Sant Pere. The drive typically takes about 25 minutes, making it a convenient option for those with luggage or looking for a quicker way to reach the site.
