From the center of Girona, head to the main bus station located at Estació d'Autobusos de Girona. You can walk there in about 15 minutes from Plaça de la Independència. Once at the bus station, look for the bus service heading towards Figueres. Get on the bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach 'Castelló d'Empúries'. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Castelló d'Empúries, follow the signs to Aiguamolls de l'Empordà. It is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Girona. Start from the Plaça de la Independència and head towards Carrer de la Creu. Follow the bike path along the river until you reach the outskirts of the city. Continue on the bike path towards Castelló d'Empúries. The total distance is around 15 kilometers and should take about an hour, depending on your cycling speed. Once you reach Castelló d'Empúries, follow the road signs to Aiguamolls de l'Empordà.

Although it's a bit far to walk, if you're up for it, you can start from the city center of Girona. Head north towards the Carrer de la Creu and follow the signs toward Castelló d'Empúries. It’s a roughly 15-kilometer walk that would take around 3-4 hours. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach Castelló d'Empúries, ask locals for directions to Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, which is located along the Carretera de St. Pere Pescador.
