Getting There

• Train

  From Girona, head to the Girona Train Station (Estación de Girona). You can reach the station by walking or taking a local bus. Purchase a ticket to Calella. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Calella train station, exit the station and walk towards the main road (Carrer d'Anselm Clavé). Turn left and continue walking straight until you reach the beach area.

• Bus

  You can take a bus from Girona to Calella. Head to the Girona bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Girona), which is a short walk from the city center. Look for a bus heading to Calella (check the schedules, as they may vary). The bus journey will take around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Calella, follow the signs to the beach, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you are feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Girona. You can take the 'Cami de Ronda' coastal path that leads towards Calella. The route is scenic and will take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to follow the signs towards Calella and enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Once you arrive in Calella, head towards Carrer d'Anselm Clavé to reach Platja de Calella.

• Walking

  For the more adventurous traveler, you can walk from Girona to Calella. The distance is about 60 kilometers, so it is advisable to break it into parts or take this route only if you are confident in your hiking abilities. Start by heading towards the main roads leading out of Girona and follow the paths that lead towards the coastline. This will take approximately 12 to 14 hours, so plan accordingly and make sure to have enough water and supplies.
