    If you are in the center of Anuradhapura, head south on Anuradhapura - Mihintale Road (A9). Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with 2nd Mile Post Road. Turn left onto 2nd Mile Post Road and walk for another 500 meters. Maha Viharaya will be on your right at the intersection with Kandy Road.
