Getting There

Car

Starting from Arugam Bay, head southeast on the A4 highway. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Pottuvil. Turn left onto the A30 road towards Kumana. Drive for about 5 kilometers, and you will see signs for Kumana Turtle Conservation Center on your right. The total driving time is around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
Public Transportation

From Arugam Bay, you can take a local bus heading towards Pottuvil. The bus stop is located near the main beach area. Buses run frequently, and the fare is very affordable. After about 15-20 minutes, get off at the Pottuvil junction. From there, you can catch a three-wheeler (tuk-tuk) to Kumana, which will cost approximately 300 LKR and take an additional 10-15 minutes to reach the Turtle Conservation Center.
Taxi

If you prefer a more direct and comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from Arugam Bay to Kumana. The journey will take around 30 minutes, and the fare typically ranges between 1,500 to 2,000 LKR. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your trip.
