Car
If you're driving from Badulla town, head west on the A5 road. Continue for about 18 kilometers until you reach the Kalupahana area. Look for the signs indicating the direction to Bambarakanda Falls. The falls are located along the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road, approximately 5 kilometers from the main road. Follow the winding road until you see a small parking area near the falls.
Public Transportation
From Badulla, take a bus heading towards Hali-Ela. Once you reach Hali-Ela, transfer to a bus going to Kalupahana. Inform the bus conductor that you want to visit Bambarakanda Falls. The bus will drop you off at a point close to the Kalupahana - Ohiya Road junction. From there, it is about a 5-kilometer walk along the road to the falls. Be cautious as this road may have some traffic.
Taxi
Hire a taxi from Badulla town and inform the driver that you want to go to Bambarakanda Falls. The driver will take you via the A5 road towards Kalupahana. The journey is approximately 25 kilometers and should take around 40 minutes. Ensure you agree on a return time with the driver, as public transportation options may be limited in the area.
