Car
If you are driving from Badulla, take the A5 road towards Bandarawela. Continue on the A5 for approximately 20 kilometers. As you approach Bandarawela, look for the turn-off towards Galkanda, which will be on your right. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Mahaulpatha. The Porawagala Viewpoint will be well signposted; look for signs indicating 'Porawagala'. There is a small parking area near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Badulla, you can take a bus heading towards Bandarawela. Buses are frequent, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bandarawela, you will need to take a tuk-tuk or a local bus towards Galkanda. Inform the tuk-tuk driver that you want to go to Porawagala Viewpoint, and they will take you directly. The tuk-tuk ride may cost around 300-500 LKR, depending on your negotiation.

If you're already in Bandarawela, you can hire a tuk-tuk directly to Porawagala Viewpoint. Just ask a tuk-tuk driver near the bus stand or your accommodation. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes and should cost between 300-500 LKR. Ensure you agree on the fare before you start your journey.
