Start from the Bentota Railway Station. Exit the station and head towards the main road (Galle Road). Walk south along Galle Road, keeping the beach on your right side. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the Bentota River. Here, look for a local boat service or boat rental facility on the riverbank. Take a boat across the river, which will take you to the opposite side. Once across, continue walking along the path that leads toward Maduganga Lake. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as the lake is a popular spot.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Bentota. Begin your journey by heading down to Galle Road and cycling south. Stay on the road until you reach the Bentota River. It should take you about 30 minutes depending on your cycling speed and traffic conditions.
