Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, start from the Bundala National Park entrance. Head southeast on the main road towards Hambantota. After approximately 5 km, you will reach a junction. Take the left turn towards Hambantota and continue straight for about 10 km. Look for signs directing you to Peacock's Rock, which is located near coordinates 6.13578, 81.1444056. You can park at the designated area near the rock. Please note that there may be a small entrance fee to access certain areas of the park.

  • Public Transportation

    From Bundala National Park, you can take a local bus to Hambantota. Buses frequently depart from the main bus stop at the park entrance. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes and cost around 50 LKR. Once you arrive in Hambantota, you can either take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to reach Peacock's Rock. The tuk-tuk ride will cost about 200-300 LKR and take around 15 minutes. Ensure you communicate the destination clearly to the driver.
