Public Bus
From Colombo Fort Bus Station, take a bus heading towards Kalutara. Look for buses labeled 'Kalutara' or 'Wadduwa'. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Wadduwa Beach. Once you arrive, you can walk towards the beach which is only a few minutes away from the bus stop.
Train
Head to Colombo Fort Railway Station and purchase a ticket to Wadduwa. Trains to Wadduwa run regularly from Colombo. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Wadduwa Station, exit the station and head towards the main road. You can either take a tuk-tuk or walk about 15 minutes straight down the road to reach Wadduwa Beach.
Tuk-Tuk
If you are already in Colombo, you can simply hire a tuk-tuk directly to Wadduwa Beach. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should typically range between 1500 to 2500 LKR depending on traffic and your starting location in Colombo. The ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours.
