Travel Guide to Crow Island Beach Park

Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are starting from Colombo Fort, head to the Colombo Fort Bus Station. Look for bus number 120, which goes towards Kotahena. Board the bus and tell the conductor you want to get off at Crow Island. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards Crow Island Road, and you will see the entrance to Crow Island Beach Park a short distance ahead.

• Three-Wheeler (Tuk-Tuk)

  From your location in Colombo, you can easily hail a tuk-tuk. Tell the driver 'Crow Island Beach Park' or show them the address: 'Crow Island Rd, Colombo 15'. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance of the park.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby in Colombo 15, you can reach Crow Island Beach Park by walking. Head towards Crow Island Road, which is well-signposted. The park is located along the coast, and you will be able to see the beach from a distance as you approach. This walk will take around 15-25 minutes depending on your starting point.

• Bicycle Rental

  You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Colombo. Once you have your bike, head towards the coast via the main roads leading to the shoreline. Follow the signs towards Colombo 15 and Crow Island Road. Riding at a leisurely pace, you should reach Crow Island Beach Park in about 30 minutes. The park is bicycle-friendly and you can park your bike at the entrance.
