Walking
From the heart of Slave Island, head towards the main road, Galle Face Terrace. Once you reach Galle Face Terrace, turn left and continue walking along the street. You will soon come to a junction. At this junction, take a right turn onto Children's Park Pathway. Follow this path for about 500 meters, and you will see the entrance to Gangaramaya Park on your left.

If you're looking for a quicker option, you can hire a tuk-tuk. Just ask the driver to take you to Gangaramaya Park located on Children's Park Pathway, Colombo. The fare should be around 200-300 LKR, depending on your negotiation skills and the traffic conditions. The ride should take approximately 10 minutes from Slave Island.

Public Bus
For a more local experience, you can take a bus from Slave Island. Head to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards Colombo Fort. Get off at the stop near the Colombo Museum. From there, it’s a short walk to Gangaramaya Park. Walk back along the road you just came from, cross over to Children's Park Pathway, and follow the path until you reach the park entrance. The bus fare will be around 30 LKR.
