Getting There

  • Walking

    From the centre of Slave Island, head towards the main road, which is the Sri Jayawardenepura Mawatha. Walk in the direction of the Colombo Railway Station. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection where you can see the Colombo Hindu College on your left.

  • Walking

    Continue walking straight until you reach the junction at the end of the road. Turn left onto the 4th Cross Street. Sivasubramania Swami Kovil is located a short distance down this road on your right side. It should take you approximately another 5-10 minutes to reach the temple from this point.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer not to walk, you can take a local tuk-tuk from anywhere in Slave Island. Simply ask the driver to take you to Sivasubramania Swami Kovil, located at WVF3+X2P, Colombo. The ride should cost you around 200-300 LKR depending on traffic.
