    If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Trincomalee. Head south on the A12 highway towards Batticaloa. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Nuwaragala Mountain. The mountain is located about 15 kilometers from the A12 junction. The last stretch involves a smaller road, which may be unpaved, so proceed with caution. Parking is generally available at the base of the mountain.

    To reach Nuwaragala Mountain using public transport, take a bus from Trincomalee to Batticaloa. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station. After arriving in Batticaloa, you can take a local bus or a three-wheeler (Tuk-Tuk) to the Nuwaragala area. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination. The ride from Batticaloa to Nuwaragala will take about 30-40 minutes. Expect to pay a small fee for the bus fare, usually around 100 LKR, and a bit more for the Tuk-Tuk.
