Walk
From the center of Ella, start at the Ella Railway Station. Head north on the Main Street (A23) toward the town center. Continue walking along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Nuwara Eliya road. Turn left onto Nuwara Eliya Road (B2) and walk for about 6 kilometers. You will pass by a few local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the Bluefield Tea Factory signage along the road, which will be on your right. The total walking distance is approximately 8 kilometers, so be prepared for a bit of a trek.
Tuk Tuk
From the center of Ella, you can easily find a tuk-tuk by heading to the Main Street. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to the Bluefield Tea Factory, located on Nuwaraliya Road in Ramboda. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to mention 'Bluefield Tea Factory' to the driver, and they should know the exact location. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way!
Public Bus
If you prefer public transport, walk to the Ella Bus Station, located near the town center. Look for buses heading towards Nuwara Eliya and ask the conductor to drop you off at the Bluefield Tea Factory stop. Buses run frequently throughout the day and the fare is very affordable. The journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, it’s a short walk back to the factory entrance.
