Getting There

Walking
From the centre of Ella town, head east on the main road (Ella-Wellawaya Road). Walk past the Ella Railway Station on your left. Continue walking along the road for about 5 km until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Koslanda. Keep walking for another 3 km, and you will see signs for Diyaluma Falls indicating the path leading to the falls on your right. Follow the signs which will lead you down a small path to the falls.

Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Ella. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Diyaluma Falls, and they will know the location. The drive will take approximately 20-30 minutes. The tuk-tuk will drop you off at the entrance to the falls, where you may need to walk a little further down the path to reach the main viewing area.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Ella. Start by cycling east on Ella-Wellawaya Road, keeping the railway station on your left. After about 5 km, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Koslanda. Continue for another 3 km until you see the signs for Diyaluma Falls on your right. Park your bicycle at the entrance and walk down the path to reach the falls.
