From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Walk along the Main Street (Passara Road) for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction for the trail leading to Gotuwala Ella. Look for signs or ask locals if you're unsure. Once at the junction, take a left turn onto the dirt path. Continue walking along this path for approximately 15-20 minutes. You will pass tea plantations and some small local shops. Keep following the path until you reach Gotuwala Ella, which is known for its beautiful views.

For a more adventurous route, start at the Nine Arches Bridge, which is about a 15-minute walk from the town center of Ella. From the bridge, follow the railway track for about 1 km until you see a trail leading up into the hills on your left. Follow this trail, which will lead you toward Gotuwala Ella. Make sure to wear proper trekking shoes, as the path can be steep and uneven. This route takes about 30-40 minutes and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
