Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Once you reach the station, continue walking along the Main Street (Ella - Haputale Road) heading towards Haputale. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Lipton Seat on your left. Follow this road (Lipton Seat Road) for approximately 5 kilometers. The road is scenic, and you will pass through tea plantations. Keep following the signs for Lipton's Seat until you reach the entrance to Dambethenna Estate.

Tuk-Tuk
You can hire a tuk-tuk from any point in Ella. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Lipton's Seat. The ride will take about 30 minutes. The driver will take you along the Main Street (Ella - Haputale Road) and then turn onto Lipton Seat Road. Enjoy the scenic views as you ascend towards the estate.

Take a bus from the Ella bus station to Haputale. Buses are frequent, and the journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Haputale, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk to Lipton Seat. If walking, head towards Lipton Seat Road, which is well-marked, and continue for about 5 kilometers to reach the entrance.
