Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Once at the station, you can take a train to Talawakelle. The train journey will take approximately 45 minutes and offers beautiful views of the countryside. Upon arriving at Talawakelle station, exit the station and turn left onto the Avissawella - Hatton - Nuwara Eliya Highway (A7). Walk along the highway for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the St. Clair Waterfall Roadside Viewpoint on your right. Keep an eye out for the waterfall, which is one of the widest in Sri Lanka.

Tuk-Tuk
From anywhere in Ella, you can easily find a tuk-tuk to take you to Talawakelle. Simply negotiate the fare with the driver (it should be around 1,500 to 2,000 LKR). The tuk-tuk will take you directly to the St. Clair Waterfall Roadside Viewpoint, which is located along the Avissawella - Hatton - Nuwara Eliya Highway (A7). The journey should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

From Ella, walk to the bus station located near the main street. Look for a bus heading towards Talawakelle. The bus ride will take about 1 hour and will cost you around 50-100 LKR.
