Getting There

Bus
From Galle, head to the Galle Bus Station located on Fort Road. Look for buses heading to Mirissa, which are frequent throughout the day. The journey takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mirissa bus stop, exit the bus and walk towards the beach. Parrot Rock is located directly on the beach, and you can follow the shoreline to reach it.

Tuk-tuk
From anywhere in Galle, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Mirissa Beach, and they will take you directly there. The ride usually takes around 30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Mirissa Beach, Parrot Rock is visible from the shore, just a short walk from the parking area.

Walking
If you’re feeling adventurous and staying near the coastal area, you can take a scenic walk to Mirissa Beach. Start at the Galle Fort and walk along the coastline towards Mirissa. This route offers beautiful views of the ocean and takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once you reach Mirissa Beach, Parrot Rock will be in sight, located just off the shore.
