    Getting There

    Walking

    Start from the Galle Fort, exit through the main gate and head south towards the main road. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the A2 highway. Turn left onto the A2 and keep walking. You will pass by several shops and cafes. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Weligama. Continue straight on the A2 for about 5 kilometers. At the Weligama town entrance, look for the Weligama By Pass Road on your right. Turn onto Weligama By Pass Rd and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach Weligama Beach.

    Tuk-tuk

    From any central location in Galle, such as the Galle Fort or the Main Bus Station, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply ask the driver to take you to Weligama Beach. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.

    Public Bus

    Head to the Galle Bus Station, located to the northwest of the Galle Fort. Look for buses heading to Weligama (these will generally be marked). Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride along the coast. The journey should take around 30 minutes. After arriving at Weligama, ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Weligama Beach or look for signs indicating the beach area.
