After approximately 2 kilometers, look for the turnoff onto Lewaya Road (5 Lewaya Rd). Follow this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Red Sand Beach, which will be on your left. There is usually parking available nearby.

    To reach Red Sand Beach via public transportation, take a local bus from Hambantota bus station heading towards Wellawaya. Ensure to inform the driver you want to get off at Lewaya Road. After about a 10-15 minute ride, disembark at the nearest stop to Lewaya Road. From there, you can either walk approximately 1 kilometer down Lewaya Road towards the beach, or you may be able to catch a tuk-tuk for a small fee (around 200 LKR).
