Tell them you want to go to Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

Public Bus
From Hikkaduwa, you can take a public bus to Mirissa. Head to the main bus station in Hikkaduwa, located near the beach area. Look for a bus heading to Matara, as these will stop in Mirissa. The fare is very inexpensive, usually less than 100 LKR. Once you are on the bus, it will take approximately 45 minutes to reach Mirissa. When you arrive, ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Coconut Tree Hill, or simply follow the crowd to the beach area and walk along the coast until you see the hill.

If you prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route from Hikkaduwa to Mirissa along the coastline, although this is quite a long trek (approximately 10 km). Start from the Hikkaduwa Beach and head towards the south, following the coastline. You will pass by various beaches and local villages. After about 2-3 hours of walking, you will reach Mirissa. Once in Mirissa, ask locals for directions to Coconut Tree Hill, which is a popular spot and easy to find.
