Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hikkaduwa, head south on Galle Road (A2). Walk along the beach road, enjoying the coastal views. Continue south for about 6 kilometers. You will pass several guesthouses and restaurants along the way. Once you reach the Mirissa area, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Parrot Rock. After reaching the beach, you should see Parrot Rock to your right, a small rocky outcrop where you can climb to enjoy stunning views.

    Find a tuk-tuk stand in Hikkaduwa, which can usually be found near the beach area or main road. Negotiate a fare to Mirissa; the journey should take around 15-20 minutes. Instruct the driver to drop you off near the beach in Mirissa. Once you arrive, walk towards the beach and look for Parrot Rock on your right. It's easily recognizable as a rocky formation rising from the water.
