  • Walking

    If you are starting from Jaffna Fort, walk towards the main road (Kandy Road) and head south. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Hospital Road. Turn left onto Hospital Road and walk until you reach the traffic lights. Continue straight past the Jaffna Teaching Hospital on your right. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Nallur Sivan Kovil. The temple is located about 500 meters further down the road on your left. Look for the distinctive architecture of the temple as you approach.

    Rent a bicycle from any local shop in Jaffna. From Jaffna Fort, head south on Kandy Road for about 1.5 kilometers. At the junction with Hospital Road, turn left. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer, passing the Jaffna Teaching Hospital. When you see the sign for Nallur Sivan Kovil, keep going for another 500 meters. The temple will be on your left. Make sure to park your bicycle securely before entering the temple.
