If you are driving from Kandy city center, start by heading south on George E. de Silva Mawatha. Follow the road for about 1 kilometer and continue straight to merge onto Peradeniya Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, turn left onto Hantana Road. Continue for about 500 meters, then take a right turn at the roundabout onto Lake View Road. The British Garrison Cemetery will be on your left after approximately 300 meters. There's parking available nearby, but it can be limited during peak hours.
Public Transportation
To reach the British Garrison Cemetery via public transport, you can take a local bus from Kandy city. Look for a bus that goes towards Peradeniya, as many local buses pass through this route. Once on the bus, ask the conductor to alert you when you reach the Hantana area. After disembarking, walk along Hantana Road towards Lake View Road, which is about a 10-minute walk. The cemetery will be on your left after a short walk. Alternatively, you can take a tuk-tuk from the bus stop directly to the cemetery for a quicker route.
