Car
If you are driving, start from the Kandy Lake area, which is a central point in Kandy. Head east on Dalada Veediya (Temple Road) towards the Temple of the Tooth. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Peradeniya Road (A1). After about 1.5 kilometers, keep an eye out for the Kandy National Museum on your right. There is limited parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach the Kandy National Museum by public transport, you can take a local bus from Kandy city center to the Peradeniya area. Board a bus heading towards Peradeniya and get off at the Peradeniya Junction. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Peradeniya Road (A1), and continue straight until you see the Kandy National Museum on your right. Alternatively, you can take a tuk-tuk from the bus stop directly to the museum for a small fare.
