Walking
Start at the Kandy Railway Station. Exit the station and turn left onto the main road (A26). Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Aniwatte Road (the sign will point towards Aniwatte). Continue walking for approximately 800 meters, and you will see the Anniewatta Tunnel on your left, marked as 7JQC+9W8 on the map.

From your location in Kandy, hail a tuk-tuk and tell the driver you want to go to Anniewatta Tunnel. The driver should know the location; however, you can also provide them with the address '7JQC+9W8, Aniwatte Tunnel Rd'. The journey should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Bus
Head to the Kandy Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards Aniwatte or any bus that goes along the Aniwatte Road. Once on the bus, ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Aniwatte Tunnel. The bus ride should take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop, then walk a short distance to the tunnel.
