    If you're starting from Kandy Lake, head east along the lakeside path until you reach the main road (Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Mawatha). From there, turn right and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass the Kandy Railway Station on your left. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Hemamali Mawatha. Turn left onto Hemamali Mawatha, and after about 200 meters, you will see the International Buddhist Museum on your right.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From anywhere in Kandy, you can easily hail a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver 'International Buddhist Museum' or show them the address: 'Hemamali Mawatha, Kandy'. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The museum is located on Hemamali Mawatha, so ensure the driver knows to drop you off at the entrance.

  • Public Bus

    Locate the nearest bus station and board a bus heading towards 'Kandy City' or 'Kandy Bus Station'. Ask the conductor to alert you when you approach the stop for 'Kandy Lake' or 'Sri Dalada Maligawa' (Temple of the Tooth). Once you disembark, walk towards the Temple of the Tooth, and then follow the directions for walking from Kandy Lake as described above.
