Tuk-Tuk
From Kandy city center, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Head to the main road (Dalada Veediya) and look for tuk-tuks waiting for passengers. Tell the driver you want to go to Hunnasgiriya Waterfall in Matale. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
Bus
To reach Hunnasgiriya Waterfall by bus, go to the Kandy Central Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards Matale. Once on the bus, inform the conductor you want to get off at Hunnasgiriya. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes. After you get off, you may need to walk a short distance (around 1 km) following the signs towards the waterfall.
Walking
If you are up for an adventure and are staying close to the waterfall area, you can also walk. Start by heading towards the Matale road (A9). Follow the road signs towards Matale, and look for local trails leading to the waterfall. Be prepared for a trek of about 6-8 km through beautiful landscapes, and ensure you have water and good walking shoes.
