If you are starting from the Kandy Lake area, make your way towards the Kandy Clock Tower. From the Clock Tower, head down Dalada Vidiya (the main road) until you reach the intersection with Bahirawa Kanda Road. Turn left onto Bahirawa Kanda Road and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya on your right.

Find a tuk-tuk stand near your location, such as near the Kandy Bus Station or Kandy Lake. Tell the driver 'Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya' or show them the address '7JWJ+5GR, Bahirawa Kanda Rd'. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of the temple.

From the Kandy central bus station, take a bus heading towards Kandy's outskirts that passes through Bahirawa Kanda Road. You may ask locals for the specific bus number. Inform the conductor to drop you at the Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya stop. The temple should be a short walk from where the bus stops.
