From Kegalle town, head southeast on the A1 road towards Colombo. After about 5 kilometers, take the exit towards the Kegalle - Mawanella - Kandy road (B40). Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for the signs pointing to Bathalegala or Batalegala Rock. Once you reach the vicinity of Batalegala Rock, follow the local roads leading up to the site. Parking is available nearby, but may require a small fee, typically around 100 LKR.

From Kegalle bus station, take a bus heading towards Mawanella. Buses run frequently and the fare is around 30 LKR. Inform the conductor that you wish to get off at Batalegala Rock.
