If you are driving from Kandy, take the A26 road towards Matale. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn onto the B308 road towards Laggala. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach the area of Thelgamu Oya, which is located at the coordinates GQPC+RQV, Laggala. Make sure to have Google Maps or a GPS device to assist you in navigating the local roads, as some of them may be unpaved or narrow.

To reach Thelgamu Oya using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Kandy to Matale. This journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately LKR 100-200. From Matale bus station, transfer to a bus heading towards Laggala. This leg of the journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours and will cost about LKR 150-300. After arriving at Laggala, you may need to take a tuk-tuk or a local taxi to reach Thelgamu Oya directly, as it is about 5 kilometers away. Expect to pay around LKR 300-500 for the tuk-tuk ride.
