Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Hunnasgiriya, which is a common base to reach Bible Rock. From Hunnasgiriya, take the Hunnasgiriya-Mahiyangana Road (A26) and continue for about 10 km. Look for the sign indicating the turn-off for Bible Rock. The road will lead you through scenic mountainous terrain. Once you reach the entrance to the Bible Rock trail, park your car in the designated parking area. Please note that some parts of the road may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully.

Public Transportation
To reach Bible Rock via public transportation, take a bus from Kandy to Hunnasgiriya. Buses run regularly from the Kandy Central Bus Stand. Once you arrive in Hunnasgiriya, you can either walk or hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the trailhead for Bible Rock, which is about 5 km away. The tuk-tuk fare should be around 500 LKR. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your journey.

Hiking
After arriving at the trailhead for Bible Rock, prepare for a hike. The trail is approximately 2 km long and can take around 1-2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your pace. The trail can be steep and rocky, so wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water. As you hike, enjoy the surrounding nature and views. At the top, you will be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Knuckles Mountain Range.
