To reach Sigiriya by car from anywhere in Kurunegala District, start by heading towards the A6 highway. If you are in Kurunegala city, follow the signs for Dambulla and take the A6 road north. The drive will take approximately 1.5 hours, covering around 70 kilometers. Continue on the A6 until you reach the sign for Sigiriya, where you will turn onto the Sigiriya Road (B3). Follow this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Be aware that there is a parking fee of around 500 LKR for vehicles.
Bus

For those using public transportation, start by heading to the Kurunegala bus station. Take a bus heading towards Dambulla; the journey typically takes about 1.5 hours and costs around 100-150 LKR. Once you arrive at Dambulla, transfer to a bus that goes to Sigiriya. The bus ride from Dambulla to Sigiriya takes about 30 minutes and costs around 50 LKR. You will be dropped off near the entrance of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
