Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Matara, head northeast on Galle Road (A2) towards Mirissa. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Mirissa Junction. At the junction, turn left onto Udupila Road. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will find Duck Lake Mirissa on your right. There is generally no parking fee, but make sure to park in designated areas.

  • Public Transportation

    From Matara, board a local bus heading towards Mirissa. Buses frequently depart from the Matara bus station and the journey typically takes about 30 minutes, costing around 50 LKR. Once you arrive at the Mirissa bus station, you can either walk or take a tuk-tuk. If walking, head northeast on Galle Road (A2) for about 1 kilometer, then turn left onto Udupila Road. Duck Lake Mirissa will be on your right after approximately 1.5 kilometers.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    For a more direct option, hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Matara. The fare should be around 500-800 LKR depending on your starting point. Provide the driver with the destination, Duck Lake Mirissa, located at Malapalawa, Udupila Road. The journey will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
