If you are in Galle Fort, start by heading out of the fort gates towards the main road (A2). Walk straight along the A2 road until you reach the roundabout. From the roundabout, take the exit towards Ahangama (the road will be marked). Continue along this road for about 8 kilometers. You will pass through small villages and beautiful coastal views. Once you reach Ahangama, look for Handunugoda Road on your left. Walk down Handunugoda Road for about 1 kilometer, and you will find the Handunugoda Tea Estate on your left.

From Galle Fort, you can easily find a tuk-tuk at the main tuk-tuk stand near the fort's main entrance. Tell the driver that you want to go to Handunugoda Tea Estate in Ahangama. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the tea estate, and you can enjoy the scenic ride along the coast.

To reach Handunugoda Tea Estate by public bus, start at the Galle Bus Station. Look for a bus heading towards Ahangama. Buses leave frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Ahangama, get off at the Ahangama bus stop. From the bus stop, walk down Handunugoda Road for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the tea estate on your left.
