If you are starting from the Matara Bus Station, exit the station and head south towards the main road (Galle Road). Once on Galle Road, turn left and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the bridge over the Nilwala River. Cross the bridge, and you will see Nilwala Park on your left side shortly after crossing the river.
