Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at Matara Railway Station, exit the station and head east on Galle Road (A2). Continue walking straight for about 1.2 kilometers until you see the large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Matara-Kotuwegoda Road. The Matara Clock Tower will be on your left, located at WGVX+Q82 in Kotuwegoda.

    From the Matara Bus Stand, exit the bus stand and walk south on Matara Road. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach a major intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Galle Road (A2) and walk for another 400 meters. You will see the Matara Clock Tower on your right.

    If you are at the Matara Fort, exit the fort and head northeast towards Galle Road (A2). Turn left onto Galle Road and walk for about 800 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes. The Clock Tower will be visible on your right side as you approach the large roundabout.
