    If you are in Matara city center, start at the Matara Clock Tower. Head south on Matara - Hambantota Rd (A2) for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Totamuna Rd. Turn left onto Totamuna Rd and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass through a residential area with local shops and cafes. As you approach the end of the road, you will see the Tsunami Memorial on your right, located near the river delta.

    From the Matara Bus Station, take a local bus heading towards Hambantota or Weligama. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Totamuna Rd. The bus ride will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you get off, walk down Totamuna Rd for about 300 meters. The Tsunami Memorial will be on your left, near the river delta.
