Getting There

    If you are starting from Matara Bus Station, exit the station and head southeast on A2. Walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with the B535 road. Turn left onto B535 and continue walking straight for another 300 meters. You will see the entrance to Star Fort Matara on your left, marked by a sign.

    From Matara Beach, head east along the coastline until you reach the main road (A2). Turn left onto A2 and walk for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with B535, turn right and walk approximately 300 meters. Star Fort Matara will be on your left.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer a tuk-tuk, you can easily find one near popular spots like the Matara Fort or the beach. Ask the driver to take you to Star Fort Matara. The ride should not take more than 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

  • Walking

    If you are at the Matara Old Dutch Hospital, exit the building and walk west towards the main road (A2). Turn right onto A2 and continue for about 500 meters. When you reach the junction with B535, turn left. Star Fort Matara will be about 300 meters down this road on your left.
